AFM 2010: Six Bits of Art for The Day

That damned pesky apocalypse is rearing its head again, and humanity is about to pay and pay big time in this latest siege warfare based indie action thriller, The Day.
Doug Aarniokoski (second unit director work on Takers, Resident Evil: Extinction, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) is behind the camera for the flick featuring an all-star cast including Shawn Ashmore (X-Men, Frozen, Mother’s Day, The Ruins), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), Cory Hardrict (Gran Torino, Battle: Los Angeles), Dominic Monaghan (“Lost”) and Shannyn Sossamon (Catacombs, One Missed Call).
The film is a visceral action thriller with moral depth spanning 24 hours during which the ensemble cast is pit against insurmountable odds. The intention is for The Day to be the launching pad for a franchise.
