2010 Burbank Weekend of Horrors Photo Gallery Now Open

This past weekend (October 15-17) was quite a busy one for the horror community. On the East Coast was Rock & Shock while on the West Coast there were, amongst others, the Screamfest film festival, the 2010 Scream Awards, and the Weekend of Horrors. As a regular West Coast convention-goer, yours truly attended Creation’s Weekend of Horrors at the Burbank Airport Marriott.

Amongst the activity on the schedule at the Weekend of Horrors were multiple movie screenings, panels with all your favorites such as Sid Haig, Ken Foree, and Bruce Campbell. Even the Boondock Saints made an appearance. On Saturday night those lucky enough to have tickets caught a special performance of Nevermore with Jeffrey Combs. Clive Barker, who was a great sport, had meet and greets with fans and signed autographs most of the weekend, even though he has recently undergone throat surgery.

It was a fun weekend for all who were there. If you missed it, or even if you were there, click here or on the below photo of “True Blood” cast members Jim Parrack (Hoyt Fortenberry) and Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam De Beaufort) to check out our photo gallery of some of the events of Saturday and Sunday.

Personally, I thought this was the worst Creation con I’ve ever attended, and that’s saying something.

No one was really in the “horror mood” and the dealers were sparse and the con was small. Bruce Campbell was the one bright spot in an otherwise very dull weekend. I’m looking even more forward to Monsterpalooza now in the spring.

Where you there on Sunday? The Boondock Saints were a blast. The True Blood panel was great as well.
