Official: Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier Behind Hellraiser Remake

Fans worried about just who was going to write and direct the much talked about remake of the Clive Barker classic Hellraiser can now breathe a little easier.

According to and confirmed by Bloody Disgusting and STYD , none other than the duo responsible for My Bloody Valentine 3D and Drive Angry 3D will be behind this new re-envisioning. That’s right, kids, Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier have been tapped by the studio to bring forth a new theatrical Hellraiser flick.

Details are scarce at the moment, but one thing is for certain. With Farmer and Lussier behind this project, it’s likely not going to be a PG13 affair. Look for more as soon as it comes.

oh come on vanvance you didn’t have fun watching My Bloody Valentine 3D??

    • Vanvance1

I wanted to like it, but nothing about it stood out. It just seemed generic and forgettable.

I still have some faith in Farmer though; Jason X was pure fun.

Sure MBV may have been generic, but it was a perfectly paced horror flick with great kills…

But I do have to agree, Jason X was fantastic

I also was unimpressed with MBV. Found it rather dull actually. I am a Jason X fan though. Thought that was alot of fun!!

I have to return some video tapes.

LOADS better then that PG-13 rumour.

Which I hope is just that. Maybe now, Doug Bradley can be talked into playing Pinhead?

  • Vanvance1

    Farmer, yes. Lussier, no.

Mind you after I’ve seen ‘Drive Angry’ maybe I’ll change my mind. Provided I can get past the Cage factor.

Still the news could have been a lot worse.
