Another project is on the way from Ghost House Pictures, the joint venture among Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Mandate’s Nathan Kahane. While we’re still waiting on word about the previously announced Dibbuk Box and the remake of The Substitute, the shingle has slid another one in on us!
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog Ghost House has picked up rights to The Sitter, a novel from horror writer R.L. Stine, for an adaptation to be penned by Dana Stevens titled The Au Pair.
The Au Pair, which is a working title, follows a young woman who runs from a troubled relationship by spending a fun-filled, romantic summer as a nanny in a posh Hamptons beach house. This dream job takes a frightening turn when she uncovers a dark secret that haunts her and the kids she’s sworn to protect.
Look for more on this one soon!
