Producer Talks New Godzilla Film

We’re all still waiting for the next good Godzilla movie and have been doing so for years. Godzilla: Final Wars, while entertaining, was way light on monster action despite having the largest selection of opponents for Big G to fight in decades, and let’s not even get into that nasty American remake starring the iguana-chicken fans have dubbed Notzilla.

Recently producer Brian Rogers of Legendary Pictures sat down with to talk about the creature’s cinema future.

Rogers revealed that they hope to take the film in the same direction as Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, while also revealing that the plan is to keep the Japanese creature in the same vein as the original from 1954 (he will breathe something out of his mouth; it had better be some type of fire). In addition, it was also revealed that Godzilla will be fighting at least one other monster when it hits theaters.

Tasty! Stay tuned for more, and check out the whole interview below. Thanks to Avery for the heads-up.

the fans now call the iguana-chicken Zilla, because that’s what TOHO named him in Final Wars. The animated series with said monster wasn’t that bad, way better than the movie.
