If you’re in the UK and haven’t signed up to the Film4 Frightfest newsletter, you really should. Since we love you so much, though, we thought we’d give you all a heads up on how you could be the first to see some exclusive footage from Saw 3D this weekend (Saturday, August 14th to be exact) with Cary Elwes in attendance! This is extremely time sensitive so READ IT NOW!
From the newsletter:
It’s two weeks before the start of Film4 FrightFest 2010. And to celebrate in style, we’re having a super-sneak surprise on Saturday afternoon, August 14. Be the first people in the world to see exclusive footage from SAW 3D and meet one of the stars of the highly anticipated Lionsgate sequel.
SAW VI director Kevin Greutert and SAW IV/V/VI writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton return to end one of the most successful franchises in horror history. This time the traps come alive in your face as a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy. A group of his survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror and complete the chilling cycle.
And one of those survivors is our special guest. Cary Elwes played Dr. Lawrence Gordon in the first SAW movie, and the star of THE PRINCESS BRIDE and BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA is back for the seventh shocker in the series. But hang on a minute – didn’t he saw his own foot off in that episode? Didn’t Jigsaw mention him in SAW III, too, when he stated he had been Gordon’s patient as much as he had been his. So how’s he been coping since all those psycho gory events? And how much can he tell us about the October release? We’ll quiz Elwes after the footage has unspooled and you’ll be able to ask questions also.
Seats are limited for this very special occasion at a central London location. So you had better be as sharp as one of Jigsaw’s traps!
So, if you want to be at this very special event, just click this LINK, but be quick as this offer closes at noon on Friday 13th. In the e-mail that will open up, add SAW 3D in the subject line; then put your name, e-mail address and mobile phone number in the body; and press send. If successful, you will receive an e-mail on Friday, the 13th August. It will contain the location and exact time of the event.
Good luck, and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
Terms and conditions: You need to be free at lunchtime on Saturday. The event will last about an hour. You also need to be able to make your way to a central London location at your own expense. It is ONE ticket per entry, and winners will be chosen at random. Tickets are not transferable.
Just one final thing: We do appreciate that this is a very London-centric event so we will be filming all the goings-on including the introduction and Q&A. The footage will feature in the second issue of the FrightFest E-Zine.
