Dane Cook and Josh Hutcherson are Heading to Detention

When I think funny, one of the names that end up last on my list is Dane Cook. I don’t know what it is about the guy, but his antics just do nothing for me. So here’s hoping he’ll do better in the horror comedy arena.
According to Variety both Cook (pictured right) and Josh Hutcherson (who is also executive producing) have signed on to topline music video director Joseph Kahn’s (Muse “Knights of Cydonia, Britney Spears “Toxic”, Eminem “Without Me”) feature slasher flick Detention.
“The film follows a 17-year-old who is given detention on the night of her prom. Over the course of the night her friends are murdered by a fictional horror movie icon. It’s said to be in the vein of Scream with elements of Back to the Future (time travel is involved) and classic John Hughes teen films from the 80’s.”
