Peter Jackson Discusses the King Kong 3D Attraction at Universal Studios

As an unabashed lover of Peter Jackson’s King Kong remake, today’s news has me all kinds of giddy! There have been lots of rumblings of a new Universal Studios attraction involving the Eighth Wonder of the World, and now you can hear all about it from the director himself!

Beginning on July 1st you’ll be able to check out the exhibit first-hand, but sure to dig the video below, featuring interviews with Peter Jackson and WETA Digital’s Visual Effects Supervisor Matt Aitken as they spill some appetizing details:

Multiple Academy Award-winning producer, writer, director Peter Jackson teamed up with Universal Studios Hollywood to create “KING KONG 360 3D,” the largest, most intense 3D experience on the planet, based on his award-winning blockbuster KING KONG.

I can hardly wait for his next 16 hour work of art. Maybe he should adapt a Stephen King novel; I’m sure he’ll make King happy by putting in every dull and pointless page.

If Peter Jackson gets involved, the ride will take 3 hours long and you won’t even see Kong until 2 hours into it. Just a lot of 3D CGI bug killing….

Man, Jackson has gotten SKINNY, I thought he was thin before, but man!

Still pissed this is in CA. and not FL. where the original was.
