Supernatural to See the Return of Mitch Pileggi?

A lot of fans felt that Season Five of “Supernatural” ended on such a perfect note that had the series itself ended as well, they would have been satisfied. Nonetheless, they have a Season Six to look forward to, and we have some potential casting news to help make the wait a bit more tolerable.

EW.com’s Ausiello Filesjust uncovered a significant clue about the overriding plot of Season Six: Sources confirm that ‘X-Files’ vet Mitch Pileggi is in talks to reprise his role as Sam and Dean’s presumed-dead grandpa on a potentially recurring basis.” Good news indeed to those who’ve been wondering in what direction new showrunner Sera Gamble is going to be taking the show.

In case you missed any of the past season (or just want to watch it again), Warner Home Video will be releasing the DVD and Blu-ray boxsets on September 7th; pre-order yours from the EvilShop below.

As we reported previously, “Supernatural” is moving to 9:00 pm on Friday nights this fall. For more visit “Supernatural” on The CW.

I am of the mind that Supernatural had a perfect series finale at the end of the season five.

That said, I will happily watch season six. If I don’t like where it’s going I can pretend it ended with season five, but if it’s good, I’m all over it.

THAT said, resurrecting a “presumed dead” character? Yipes! Just yipes!

  • The Buz

If I’m not mistaken, the actor who plays Bobby will still be on the series. As well as Castiel.

Now if only we can get Crowly to return.

  • Terminal

But will Pileggi become the villain or be more of a Bobby mentor? I’m wondering.

I still would have been happy if it ended on season five. I mean where else do you go from Lucifer himself?

      Buddha?

Anyway, I would have loved this to have ended last season as well (knowing there was an entire new season lessened the impact of the finale for me). Actually, I’d rather watch the adventures of Crawly and Brody.
