Artwork and Trailer for New Zombie Comedy – Aaah! Zombies!!

There’s no doubt the horror market is kind of saturated with zombie movies right now, and we have to admit we really don’t mind because we love ourselves some undead mayhem, but it can get a bit tiresome. Good thing for us then that every once in a while a flick comes along with a clever spin on things. Enter the upcoming zombie comedy Aaah! Zombies!!

Directed by Matthew Kohnen and starring Matthew Davis, Betsy Beutler, Michael Grant Terry, Colby French, Julianna Robinson, and Joel McCrary, Aaah! Zombies!! is an oddball comedy told from the perspective of the brain-munching monsters themselves.

For a bit more on the flick, including some stills, check out the official Aaah! Zombies!! Facebook page here! We’ll keep our ears open for distro news. In the interim check out the trailer and the poster art below.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

oh where oh where did the italians go

cool vanvance 1 good to know you love Return and day just as much as i do, but whats your thoughts on Lucio Fulci’s ZOMBIE

    • Vanvance1

Loved it. Fulci made some amazing movies; he created a mood and visual poetry that surpassed the weaknesses inherent in his scripts.

I miss the days when the Italians were relevant to horror. Now we have to look to the French.

wait a minute? vanvance1 you didn’t like Return of the living dead??? that one is an 80’s zombie classic and my personal favorite zombie film(along with ZOMBIE and Day of the Dead)

    • Vanvance1

Whoa, James, you’re misreading me! The day ‘Return of the Living Dead’ came out on DVD is the day I dumped VHS and bought a player. After ‘Day of the Dead’ I regard Return as my 2nd favourite zombie film of all time. Dan O’bannon knocked it out of the park. It’s also one of the most re-watchable horror films in history.

      We’re on the same page.

It really doesn’t look very good, but I have always loved zombie flicks ever since Romero bit me (and then Return of the Living Dead put the nail in my coffin). I’ll doubtless see it and be gravely disappointed.

    too dumb for my taste

    Looks pretty dumb.

I saw parts of this at the ZombieFest up here in Albany last Halloween. It’s kinda…meh. There’s a lot of stretches that they take for the characters to believe that they’re not zombies (character gets his hand cut off, and he can control it…so he thinks he’s a superhero. Oooooookay). Also pretty bad acting, too. It was under a different title, too, called Wasting Away.
