Amblin Entertainment Developing Sci-Fi Adventure The Fall

Ever since the company’s inception in the early 1980s, Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment has produced almost nothing but quality films, so needless to say, seeing their logo at the start of a movie is always a damn good sign. As Spielberg himself readies to direct Ready Player One, Amblin is also developing a sci-fi flick titled The Fall.

As reported by Empire, the Pete Bridges-penned film will deal with a divorced couple who attempt to rescue their home-alone children in the Atlanta suburbs during an extraterrestrial siege. Sounds like precisely the sort of project that made us fall in love with Amblin in the first place, doesn’t it?

At the moment, no director or stars have been attached. It’s unlikely that Spielberg will direct.
