UK Twilight Fans: Satisfy Your Obsession! If watching The Twilight Saga films themselves just doesn’t stir your loins to that desirable level, then get yourself warmed up as you’ll soon be able to dip into all the juicy behind-the-scenes details on DVD with the release of Twilight: An Obsession, The Unauthorised Story coming up on July 5th in the UK via 4Digital Media.

Synopsis:
Since the release of Stephenie Meyer’s 2005 novel Twilight, the world read on in eager anticipation as Bella Swan fell in love with the enigmatic, 104-year-old vampire Edward Cullen. Twilight: An Obsession, The Unauthorised Story is a behind-the-scenes exposé on what is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated phenomena since Harry Potter.

Get up close and personal with sultry vampire Robert Pattinson, his on- and off-screen flame Kristen Stewart, and of course werewolf (and teen hottie) Taylor Lautner.

The documentary also comes with the following host of special features:

  • Teen Stars: A look at the rise of young actors like Dakota Fanning, one of the stars in New Moon and Eclipse, as well as Daniel Radcliffe, whose entry into films came at the tender age of 12.
  • True Blood: “True Blood” is HBO’s hit series. There are short comments from its stars Anna Paquin and Michael McMillian on the storylines, audience, and continuing success.
  • Vampires: Ever since Bram Stoker’s classic Dracula, the vampire obsession has exploded. From Nosferatu to Interview with the Vampire, the genre has spawned a plethora of reworks, images, and ideas on how a vampire would fit into modern society, as is documented here.
  • Harry Potter: This extra shows a glimpse of JK Rowling, the actors from the films, and the fans’ appreciation of the stories. It also highlights the fact that Harry Potter has many parallels with The Twilight Saga in terms of the diehard fans, international recognition, and phenomenal box office takings.
  • The next film in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits UK theatres on July 9th. One can only hope that all of this will help satiate the fans so they can move on to better films. Fingers crossed!
