Super 8 Viral Madness Infects Fans!

default-featured-image

With the official Internet release of the teaser trailer for JJ Abrams’ Super 8 has come a bevy of viral stuff that will either get your ghost or get you annoyed. That’s right, kids, the second that the short snippet hit, sleuthing fans got right to work uncovering the goods.

Here’s what we know or have thus far …

If you’re really keen-eyed, you’ll notice that toward the end of the trailer when the footage drops into the lens, two frames show an image of a little boy. Of course we know nothing of the kid’s identity or even if he’s important to the plot at all, but knowing Abrams and his love of cinema shenanigans, it’s a really good bet.

If that isn’t enough (and honestly, when is enough?), the following Super 8 fansite has actually found words in the trailer that spell out:

The Scariest Thing I Ever Saw

The site writes, “And of course the first thing we’re gonna do is punch that into a web browser and get www.scariestthingieversaw.com which seems to have been registered a little over a week after the official Super 8 website was, and by the same registration company.”

This second site leads to multiple ways to interact that spew tons of different clues like messages that read “I have proof”, etc. Click above and get started. Or ignore all the fun and wait for the movie. The choice is yours.
