Synopsis
“Nancy, Kris, Quentin, Jesse, and Dean all live on Elm Street. At night they’re all having the same dream — of the same man, wearing a tattered red and green striped sweater, a beaten fedora half-concealing a disfigured face, and a gardener’s glove with knives for fingers. And they’re all hearing the same frightening voice…

One by one he terrorizes them within the curved walls of their dreams, where the rules are his and the only way out is to wake up.

But when one of their number dies a violent death, they soon realize that what happens in their dreams happens for real, and the only way to stay alive is to stay awake. Turning to each other, the four surviving friends try to uncover how they became part of this dark fairy tale, hunted by this dark man. Functioning on little to no sleep, they struggle to understand why them, why now, and what their parents aren’t telling them.

Buried in their past is a debt that has just come due, and to save themselves, they will have to plunge themselves into the mind of the most twisted nightmare of all… Freddy Krueger.”

  1. Rue Morgue has a cover story on NOES with an interview with both Robert Englund (whatever) and Haley and some people might find it interesting. It’s got some other stuff as well but I didn’t read any of it.

  2. Okay, that was a genuinely creepy and atmospheric scene. Maybe this movie won’t suck as much ass as I think it will…..NO! It’s a trick! Must…not….raise expectations!

  3. When I was but a wee lad, my father took me and my brother to see “Freddy’s Dead” in theaters. It was a lot of fun, especially with the 3D. Man, I had a blast. We then went to the pizzeria and we played a Simpsons game on the arcade and went home in time to see “Eerie, Indiana.”…. what the fuck was I talking about again?

“We are bad guys. That means we’ve got more to do other than bullying companies. It’s fun to lead a bad man’s life.”

    • You were explaining that if the polar ice caps continue to melt at the rate that they are…then something about penguins, and night vision goggles……..please continue….

      • Oh yeah so… no I lost my train of thought…

  4. It seems like a very romantic moment.

Here’s a man taking an interest in a woman’s dreams. Is that what women want?

  5. I did not have the pleasure to sit through any of the Nightmare films, being only 18 and all. But that must have been quite the feat. That movie is downright atrocious. As long as this film isn’t as bad as Freddy’s Dead, I will rest happily on the night (or morning) of April 30th.

I would like to know Creepy feels about this remake? How bout it?

  6. So… Nancy was molested by Freddy? Maybe abducted and his last “almost” victim before being caught?

Interesting twist. A friend that has seen a screening of this was not impressed- but I am reserving judgement.

There are a lot of things I disagree with about what I have seen. But this clip is interesting. Paints a different picture of Freddy.

Plus- I sat through Freddy’s Dead in the theater. I can withstand anything.
