It seems like we’ve been waiting forever for Bruce McDonald’s excellent Pontypool (review here) to officially hit the American and international markets on home video (it’s been available in Canada since July), and finally there’s a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks to The Associates, along with the artwork you see below for the UK release on January 25th, 2010, we learned that included with the DVD (click here to pre-order) will be some cast and director interviews; Horror Collection – 2 short movies; Behind the Sound – The sound design of Pontypool; a stills gallery; and the theatrical trailer. The Blu-ray (click here to pre-order) will also exclusively offer Pontypool – The Radio Play (30 mins).
The UK release is courtesy of Kaleidoscope Entertainment, who also provided the following trailer:
As for those of us in the States, well, things are a little more mysterious. We know IFC will be releasing their version of the disc (no Blu-ray scheduled as of yet) on January 26th, 2010, but have been unable to nail down the extras that will be included. In any event, dig on its artwork below, and hopefully we’ll have more for you (including a higher res version) soon.
