Vampire Lestat Vampire Club’s Tru Blood & Gold Ball

Ever since I first read Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, I swore one of these days I’d make it to her annual Vampire Lestat Vampire Club Halloween Ball. Unfortunately, this isn’t my year, but if you live anywhere near New Orleans, you might want to make it yours as the group is presenting a “Tru Blood & Gold Ball” for 2009.
Here are the details:
What: Anne Rice’s Vampire Lestat Vampire Club presents a vampiric ball with special guests Charlaine Harris, author of the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) novels, and Gabrielle Faust (vampire novelist, artist, poet).
Tickets for ARVLFC members are $20, the public price is $35.
Entertainment will be provided by Kinky Tuscaderos, Saints of Ruin, and Marc Gunn. Must be 18 or older to attend. Costumes, creative attire, or elegant evening wear strongly encouraged.
Where: Republic New Orleans, 828 South Peters Street, New Orleans, LA 70130
When: Friday, October 30, 2009. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. – Show starts at 9:00 p.m. and ends at 2:00 a.m.
