Twisted Pictures Revving a 3D Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Twisted Pictures Prepping a 3D Texas Chainsaw MassacreJason’s done 3D (and will do so again next year). Freddy’s done 3D. Michael Myers might do 3D. Now Leatherface is going to rev up his chainsaw for a three-dimensional chainsaw massacre, at least if the Saw producers close their pending deal to take over the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.

Variety bring us the somewhat surprising news that Twisted Pictures, the production company behind the Saw franchise, is looking to bring another saw into their fold, a chainsaw to be exact. It seems Platinum Dunes’ per pic deal with Chainsaw rights-holders Bob Kuhn and Kim Henkel (producers of the original 1974 classic) fell apart, and Twisted Pictures jumped in for multiple movie discussions.

The plan now is to contemporize the storyline for a 3D Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot scripted by Stephen Susco, writer of the American reduxes of The Grudge. With the Saw guys behind the film, expect 50% less grittiness and 75% more dank.

So for those of you keeping track, we’ve now gone from getting remakes barely a quarter century old to remakes of remakes not even a decade old. But in 3D, which apparently makes it cool.

These HACKS couldn’t recognize an original idea if it fell out of the sky, landed on their faces and started to wiggle! If the constant SAW retreads weren’t evidence enough for you, this should be the capper; going back to a well that Michael “Boom=boom” Bay has already pissed in?!? Real smart you LOSERS!!!

It’s damn obvious Hollywood seriously fucking running out of ideas for new horror movies or any movies. Texas Chainsaw got remade than got a prequel and now getting remade again except this time in 3D! First off, I am okay for 3D coming back since the 3D cameras they use are new HD ones and soon there will be 3D TVs and Blu-ray players. But fucking seriously come on now why remake it again but now in 3D just like Halloween. Halloween remake was not even that long ago and now they are planing another remake so fucking soon in 3D.

Another thing to add to this is that they will never be horror movies like from the early days. They are just all going to be watered down to PG-13 or a soft R rating.

How about a re-release of the original massacre…
Fukin retarded….remakes of remakes, spawning sequels that will get remade as a backstory that gets a miniseries….

The mind is like a parachute…it only works when it is open.

I liked the PD remake… you can’t beat Jessica Beal in a wet t-shirt!

Okay, I admit you CAN beat that quite easily, but in THAT film it can’t be beat!

I’m all for a remake of the remake. It sucked.
