Platinum Dunes Signs with Paramount, First Film AnnouncedSo it’s official. Michael Bay and company have pulled up stakes and headed over to Paramount to continue their particularly evil ways. Please, powers that be … keep them away from Paranormal Activity. Just can’t imagine that flick with explosions or faux grittiness.

Variety reports that Paramount Pictures has signed a first-look producing deal with Platinum Dunes, the genre division run by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form.

Even better the first film out of the gate will not be a remake, sequel, or reboot. Instead it will be The Butcherhouse Chronicles, a thriller that is being scripted by Stephen Susco (The Grudge).

Every town has that one scary house that everyone talks about, and it’s about a group of kids, a la Breakfast Club, from different cliques, who all get together and go into this one house, and what happens when they get in there” said Fuller a few months ago.
