So it’s official. Michael Bay and company have pulled up stakes and headed over to Paramount to continue their particularly evil ways. Please, powers that be … keep them away from Paranormal Activity. Just can’t imagine that flick with explosions or faux grittiness.
Variety reports that Paramount Pictures has signed a first-look producing deal with Platinum Dunes, the genre division run by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form.
Even better the first film out of the gate will not be a remake, sequel, or reboot. Instead it will be The Butcherhouse Chronicles, a thriller that is being scripted by Stephen Susco (The Grudge).
“Every town has that one scary house that everyone talks about, and it’s about a group of kids, a la Breakfast Club, from different cliques, who all get together and go into this one house, and what happens when they get in there” said Fuller a few months ago.
