Official In a Spiral State Trailer and DVD Cover Art

A few months ago filmmaker Ramzi Abed provided us with several stills and a teaser for his upcoming metaphysical, psychedelic, drug-addled sci-fi/horror film In a Spiral State, which is being released by cutting edge studio Halo-8 Entertainment; and today we were pointed in the direction of the flick’s official trailer.
The eclectic cast of In a Spiral State includes the late Gidget Gein (of shock-rock band Marilyn Manson), Bianca Barnett (Albino Farm, review), Elissa Dowling (Dread, review), Juliana Fine (the upcoming Goa), Ofri Fuchs (Twisted), Adam Meir (Waltz with Bashir), Mae Moreno (Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down), Messy Stench (of GWAR), and Lizzy Strain (The Devil’s Muse, review).
“Ramzi Abed’s new film is a mindbending meditation on Hollywood self-destruction, angelic interventions, and psychedelic string theory,” said Matt Pizzolo, President of Halo-8. “Ramzi has pushed the creative and dramatic envelope even farther than he did in his surrealist The Devil’s Muse, taking his unique brand of bold, inventive, sociopathic filmmaking to the next level. We’re honored that he’s chosen once again to take Halo-8 down the rabbit hole with him.”
Abed shows us Los Angeles through the eyes of an angel named Daya (Fuchs) who’s become mesmerized by the city’s interconnected yet utterly isolated inhabitants, particularly its struggling and flawed artists, frauds, and drug addicts. Of particular interest to Daya is suicidal actress Maya (Fine) and murderous femme fatales Marlena (Barnett), Danielle (Strain), and Honey (Dowling). An angel named Gadi (Meir) tries to prevent Daya from interfering in their lives, but he is unable to stop the empathetic Daya as she is drawn into the frightening and twisted machinations of the city’s underbelly.
