We’ve done a couple of stories about director Teresa Fahs’ upcoming indie effort Haunting Kira over the past couple of months, and now finally there’s something to show you! The little flick that promises to bring back the gore and put the PG-13 bullshit to bed has gotten its own website!
From the press release:
The official website for the upcoming Teresa Fahs horror film “Haunting Kira” has been launched.
The website currently features bios on the film’s cast, faux files from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department on some of the project’s characters, information for fans that would like to contribute funds and receive screen credits, and sponsorship opportunities.
The site also features a blog that is being manned by producer Chad Clinton Freeman (“Killer Biker Chicks,” “Amateur Porn Star Killer 3D,” “Super Undead Doctor Roach”). Freeman says he plans to update the blog quite often during all stages of the production of “Haunting Kira.”
Recently posted to the blog is a Q&A with Ari Lehman, who was the first actor to ever play Jason Voorhees in the original “Friday the 13th.”
“There are elements of some of the finest horror genres here,” Lehman says about the Fahs penned script in the posted interview. “And, while being a full-fledged zombie flick, it has a psycho-drama aspect revealing many of the inner motivations of the characters, often left out of the story in other independent films, through uniquely interesting and innovative dialogue.”
Aside from Lehman, the cast of “Haunting Kira” is made up of Rachel Grubb (“13 Hours in a Warehouse”), Kathleen Kinmont (“Halloween 4”), Monique Dupree (“Skeleton Key 2”), and Donna Hamblin (“Astro-Zombies M3: Cloned”).
Fahs (“Dirty Martini,” “The Last Sin,” “Chosen”), dubbed the Goddess of Gore, has described “Haunting Kira” as a strange trip that is like “Being John Malkovich” meets “The Shining” meets “Night of the Living Dead.”
