BioShock Gets a New Director. Little Sisters Rejoice!

While it would have kicked a copious amount of ass to have Gore Verbinski at the helm of the live action adaptation of the Take Two video game BioShock, it just wasn’t in the cards. That’s okay, though, because Universal’s next choice is a winner and a half.

Variety reports that 28 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is in talks to direct the film.

For more on the roller coaster that has been getting this flick into production, hit up the above link. For those not in the know, BioShock takes place in the underwater city of Rapture, where a pilot crash-lands near a secret entrance and becomes involved in a power struggle.

I really didn’t get into 28 Weeks Later, so maybe bad, maybe good. I’m sure it’ll be better than Verbinski doing it.

But once again, since we’re talking about videogames and movies and the directors who should make them, I will once again say it… Neill Blomkamp for director of the Fallout movie.
