Have you been following the casting of Sony Screen Gems’ The Roommate with bated breath? No? Well, we’re keeping you apprised of the production anyway!
Variety reports that Frances Fisher (The Kingdom) has joined the cast as Leighton Meester’s mother. She joins Minka Kelly and Matt Lanter in this story about a psychotic college freshman who becomes obsessed with her roommate.
The Roommate is currently shooting in Los Angeles under the watchful eye of Danish director Christian E. Christiansen. Sounds like we’re moving along an oft-traveled road here, but hopefully there will be something to give it some distinction.
