See Sid Haig in Little Big Top at the New Bev

Stepping a little out of character here to let people in the LA area know about a special screening taking place this week of Sid Haig’s movie Little Big Top. Simply put Little Big Top is an amazing film, and Haig’s performance as a down on his luck clown is alternately heartwarming and hilarious.

It will be playing this Tuesday, March 31, at 9:30 pm at the legendary New Beverly Cinema as part of “Sid Haig Week”. The opening feature that night will be the Jack Hill classic Pit Stop. Haig himself will be on hand to introduce and participate in Q&A’s before and after each feature.

“Sid Haig stars as Seymour Smiles, an old circus clown and current drunk, who returns to his small Indiana hometown to live the rest of his days boozing in solitude. But when his childhood friend Bob (Richard Riehle) convinces him to help the struggling clown squad at the local circus, Seymour is thrust back into the place he fears most … the spotlight.”

For more information, including directions, visit the official New Beverly Cinema website or call (323) 938-4038.

If you’re in the area, you don’t want to miss seeing this truly special little movie that will show you our beloved Captain in an entirely new light. Check out the trailer below.

Typical Fly Low Films………Now the producers are up Sid Haig’s ass about “You didn’t get permission to screen our film! Where’s our money?!?” Gee, funny how that didn’t come up when they were up on stage last week at the screening and one of them was rubbing Sid’s back. You know what? You prats are lucky you got this thing screened anywhere, by anyone! YOU’RE FUCKING WELCOME!!!
