And yet another new project has come to our attention: Altitude, about a rookie female pilot who encounters all sorts of trouble while trying to get to a concert along with a group of her friends. Who’s playing said pilot? None other than Jessica Lowndes, who first broke into the biz in the Masters of Horror “>”Dance of the Dead” (review) segment and most recently appeared in The Haunting of Molly Hartley and Autopsy.
Shock Till You Drop had a chance to chat with Lowndes, who describes Altitude as “crazy because it feels like a thriller, then it turns sci-fi, then horror. It’s a mix of everything.” The film will mark the directorial debut of award-winning comic writer and artist Kaare Andrews and is a joint production of Escape Factory and Foundation Features.
Not much else is known about the project other than that Lowndes is taking flying lessons and will have some input in the film’s casting. As she told Shock, “When I first read the script, I was so passionate about it; I really wanted to be involved. The filmmakers have been so cool.”
Hopefully cool filmmakers will equate to a cool project, but we’ll have to wait and see as further details trickle in.
