I just look at the less exciting ones as the calm before the storm.

Oh you people!!!

The stuff I now know about the end of this season!

The spoilers I know!!!

I want to blow it all away, but I won't ruin it for you...

Needless to say...THIS season finale is going to make last season's look lame in comparison...

Here's some NON spoiler info to get you all moist:

Quote:
Doctor Who: Fear Her
When the Tardis lands in 2012, the Doctor plans to show Rose the London Olympics. But on a nearby housing estate, a desperate mother is hiding her daughter's unearthly powers. Can the Doctor defeat the danger nestling at the heart of an ordinary British household? David Tennant plays the Doctor, Billie Piper plays Rose, Edna Doré plays Maeve and Nina Sosanya plays Trish.

Doctor Who: Army of Ghosts
The human race rejoices as the ghosts of loved ones return home in the latest adventure from the nation's favourite time traveller. But as the Doctor, Rose and Jackie investigate the Torchwood Tower, the whole of modern-day Earth threatens to fall to an almighty invasion force. David Tennant plays the Doctor, Billie Piper plays Rose, Camille Coduri plays Jackie Tyler and Tracy Ann Oberman plays Yvonne Hartman.

Doctor Who: Doomsday
It's the end of an epic journey as two mighty armies wage war across the Earth, with the human race caught in the middle. Just like last season, the season finale involves something that was mentioned in all the episodes. Last season was Bad Wolf, this season Torchwood, I wonder what next seasons will be Laughing .

Judas Priest is The Doctor's Ultimate Enemy.

Doctor Who: Fear Her

Yet another throw away episode, which is only redeemable in the last few minutes, by an overly sappy ending (believe it or not, that wasn't a dig!) and some ominous foreshadowing of things to come.

A huge gripe about this episode (other than it being rushed, a lame storyline ( to be honest there was a segment from "Tales from the Hood" that did it better...), and just a horroble execution) was that they gave most of the expository dialogue to a little kid with an already horrible cockney accent..and they had her whisper the lines...unintelligable.

Rose, I loathe.

Always have...always did.

Check out my next post for some interesting Rose theories....and more venom.

All in all, this was a "meh" episode, but not that great.

Indeed, they are hell bent for leather while the Doctor is not.

Why I do NOT think Rose will die (even though I hate her):

by TDA

I can forgive all newer folks watching Doctor Who to think Rose is just the greatest, but some of us, with varied Dr. Who companions under our belts, know that Rose is just a half step up from Adric.

And that, is not a compliment.

Rose is just Chav scum, and Billie Piper is horrid in the part, with her gargantuan mouth that never seems to be able to close, to her "Wot, gov'na wots all dis den!" accent, to her superior, smug snide attitude.

Companions should turn out to be better people when traveling with the Doctor. Their good attributes should come to the forefront. They should become better people...

Not self important, in your face know it alls like Rose has become.

Now... rant semi-over...but Sarah, Jo or Tegan Rose is not!

Anyway...here's why Rose will not die in the season finale (much to my chagrin):

This whole season has been about "coming together."

With Mickey finding his place in the universe and finally getting his Grandmother back, to evil Cassandra reliving herself in true human form, to the ordinary people becoming extraordinary due to the Doctor, to even Rose seeing her dead father (yet) again...

This is about renewal and rebirth.

Not death, even though it is with us more than ever.

The season, especially the last few stories have been setting us up for a huge fall, to the point of expressly saying that Rose will die.

That is a red herring.

Rose will not die, simply because she is either

A) already dead (remember the Heart of the TARDIS she absorbed at the end of season 1? And how there was no Rose in alternate Earth? She was already here! Maybe...)

or B) Her family will be reunited.

I think B... because The next episode "Army of Ghosts" you see 'ghosts' in our world, which are actually the alternate universe people coming through to our dimension...

notice how the Cybermen have Lumic's Cybus logo on them?

Well did you notice the Dalek extermination effect in the previews?

Trust me...Daleks and Cybermen are NOT the big suprise...

but who are they working for, or who is using them?

Hmmmmm?

But that is a different SPOILER, so I won't say what I KNOW here....

but what I will say is that I THINK Rose will be reunited with her father...again...and Jackie, Rose and Rose's father will be one big happy family, and Rose will NOT die, but stay behind.

The point of traveling with the Doctor is that we see it through Rose's eyes: That it is a glorious adventure with danger and excitement....they wouldn't kill her off...

Or would they?

That's what's got me. I can't figure out who the Daleks and Cybermen would be working for. I have a theory or two, but none of them make sense.

That makes sense. The reason Rose even travels with the Doctor is to fill the enormouse void in her life created by her father's death when she was a baby. If alternate earth Pete stays on "our" earth Rose will stay put without a doubt, her question of "what if I had my dad back" would be answered once and for all. Then, The Doctor could award her with a badge of mathematical excellence and be on his way.
