Dead Space Extraction

Last week we had the opportunity to sit in on a conference call with part of the team behind EA Games' Dead Space: Extraction--namely, Steve Papoutsis (Executive Producer), Wright Bagwell (Creative Director), John Calhoun (Senior Designer), Jonathan Hackett (Art Lead/Direction), and Shereif Fattouh (Associate Producer). Of course we aimed to get you the goods on the game so read on for dozens of reasons why you should be using your Wiimote for something else other than Tennis!

Sure, Dead Space wasn’t much more than a Resident Evil 4 rip off set in space. But you gotta give credit where credit is due, and frankly, the game was a TON of fun. Furthermore, it made me jump like a little girl on more than one occasion (much to my fiancée’s delight) so while this new game Dead Space: Extraction looks like an action-oriented prequel – I’m sure it’ll put some hair on your Wii’s balls!

Ah, Dead Space. How we love thee. As we told you a few weeks back, this blood-spattered space-shooter is getting its very own entry on the Nintendo Wii as a House of the Dead style rail-shooter. I'm feeling pretty lucky right now that my household just added a Wii to our gaming console set-up. EA Games released the teaser trailer today for Dead Space Extraction, an all-new prequel chapter in the Dead Space universe exclusively for the Wii.
