So far, most of the news for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con has revolved around TV shows and collectibles, but now the movies are starting to chime in, and first up are details regarding the ParaNorman panel to be held on Friday, July 13th.
In Fright Night 3D Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick-Ass) portrays “Evil” Ed Thompson, the geeky best friend of Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) who struggles with losing his buddy to a new hot girlfriend (Imogen Poots) and has the unfortunate luck of discovering that Charlie’s new neighbor, Jerry Dandridge (Colin Farrell), is a blood-sucking vampire.
On August 19th horror fans everywhere will finally be able to see for themselves whether or not the remake of the Tom Holland classic film Fright Night will deliver on all the bloody goodness when the film finally makes its way into theaters in 3D.
Even though the release of Craig Gillespie's remake of Fright Night is still pretty far down the road, that hasn't stifled the potential sequel talk as the first rumblings have begun.
A couple of photos have surfaced of a promotional banner of actor David Tennant (best known to fans all over the globe as Dr. Who) portraying his Peter Vincent character in the upcoming Dreamworks remake of Fright Night. In the original Peter Vincent (portrayed by the iconic Roddy McDowell) was a fallen horror host who reluctantly helps a young Charley Brewster battle his neighbor Jerry Dandridge, who also happens to be a bloodthirsty vampire who torments the teen.
Some more new blood is checking into Craig Gillespie's remake of the Tom Holland vampire classic Fright Night, and we wouldn't mind biting her ourselves!
Every good movie needs an annoying character whom we love to hate. Whether it be to experience the joy of watching him get his just desserts or to giggle with glee as he meets a horrible demise, a character like this is nearly as important as our hero. Finally the remake of the Tom Holland vampire classic Fright Night has just such a character!
