This writer and Dread Central's The Horror Starlets took part this past Sunday, October 23rd, in the seventh annual non-profit Bowling for Boobies Los Angeles breast cancer charity event, and we wish to thank those in the horror community and beyond who so generously donated to this wonderful cause. We couldn’t do it every year without you!

You can, as they'll be bowling as part of the Bowling for Boobies event at Jillian’s Hi-Life at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles, California, in support of the non-profit charity the Busted Foundation.
With director Lucky McKee’s The Woman bowing in limited theatrical release via Bloody Disgusting Selects on Friday, October 14th, Dread hit its LA premiere last Thursday, October 6th, at Laemmle Sunset 5 in Hollywood, CA, and chatted with the film’s director on the red carpet along with stars Pollyanna McIntosh, Sean Bridgers, Zach Rand and Carlee Baker. Along with providing info on a few more auctions that have been put together in support of “Bowling for Boobies” (two big ones are ending soon!), two members of The Horror Starlets bowling team, horror-nerd/artist Micheline Pitt and actress Carlee Baker (Wicked Lake), will be signing this Saturday, October 16, at Creation's Weekend of Horrors from 12 noon to 3 pm.

Zach Passero, director of the 2008 Fever Dreams/Media Blasters feature Wicked Lake, has given Dread Central the skinny on the release plans for his director's cut of that feature. Hitting Blu-Ray on June 29, 2010, the disc will contain the original cut with the director's cut (titled Wicked, Wicked Lake) as a bonus that will feature an introduction by the filmmaker.

Tracy Coogan (Zombie Honeymoon, Dark Woods) has been invited by this scribe to join the 'Horror Starlets' who are "Bowling for Boobies" to raise money for women fighting Breast Cancer. To support the Busted Foundation, Ms. Coogan, along with Nom De Plum Films, Dread Central, and TCB Public Relations, will give away two exclusive tickets for this Thursday's Dark Woods screening in Los Angeles.
