Bill Nighy
So the question beckons... just how different will this new version of Total Recall be in comparison to the blast that was the Arnold Schwarzenegger running rampant on Mars flick? Pretty damned different. Read on for your first look at the official synopsis.
We have some quickie news coming in for I, Frankenstein. Sitcom favorite Yvonne Strahovski ("Chuck", Killer Elite) recently offered hungry fans a little insight as to whom she'll be playing in the flick and whether or not she'll continue to keep you in stitches.
Although there isn't a ton of information available yet dealing with the upcoming horror film I, Frankenstein, we do have something that we can verify as true... Make-Up Effects Group, the incredibly diverse Australian team behind the Matrix films and the highly anticipated upcoming The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, will be handling the special make-up effects for I, Frankenstein.
More casting news coming in for I, Frankenstein. A familiar face from a hit sitcom has joined the stitched-up fold, and we've got all the details you need to know right here.
Two more names are being bandied about as potential cast members of I, Frankenstein, one of the many Frankenstein projects in various stages of production, and we have to admit that with these additions this film is shaping up quite nicely. Both Underworld veteran Bill Nighy and Australian actor Socratis Otto are in line for major roles in the Lakeshore Entertainment and Hopscotch Features project.
Nothing says "See This Movie" quite like text on a black background. If you're headed to the San Diego Comic-Con looking for some Total Recall-themed eye candy, that's all you're gonna get!
Here's one for you guys out there looking to get a glimpse of the Mars-less Total Recall remake ... the first behind-the-scenes images of both Jessica Biel and star Colin Farrell have made their way online, and we have every just-standing-around pixel of 'em for ya!
And one more actor has joined the ranks of Len Wiseman's Total Recall redux: John Cho, better known as Harold of Harold & Kumar and as Demetri in the short-lived "FlashForward". He's signed to play McClane, a smooth-talking rep for the mind-messing company that tempts Colin Farrell’s Douglas Quaid to implant fantastic memories into his brain.
Well, we may not be getting a trip to Mars, and it's still unclear as to whether or not the famed three-boobed chick will appear; however, we do know that at least one mutant will be making his way into the Total Recall redux.
We're all hoping and praying the team of Sam Worthington and director Jonathan Liebesman can correct the wrongs of the rather flaccid Clash of the Titans remake with its sequel, Wrath of the Titans. While there isn't much to go on yet except for their word, one Spanish website nailed down some set imagery.
Several name actors that we already knew were in negotiations to join Jonathan Liebesman's Wrath of the Titans have now been confirmed, and we have to say that the sequel is shaping up nicely!
Everyone, including star Sam Worthington, is well aware of what a major missed opportunity the recent Clash of the Titans turned out to be, and it looks like the powers-that-be are doing everything they can to make sure its sequel, Wrath of the Titans, doesn't follow suit, including lining up some major star power for it. Read on for who is currently in talks for the project.
Author Peter Straub has been plugging along in the literary horror genre for decades now, and we're always interested when word of a film adaptation of one of his novels crosses our desks. Especially when it includes a cast with such talented actors as Jackson Rathbone (Dread, The Twilight Saga) and Bill Nighy (Underworld, Shaun of the Dead).
One name who we don't hear often enough when it comes to film adaptations is the great Peter Straub. Thankfully that's about to change as a 3D (of course) adaptation of his novel Shadowland is now on its way. Maybe this could open the door for more of Straub's work. We can only hope.
Per usual,
DVD Active got the early word on the special features that'll be found on the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans disc when it hits DVD and Blu-ray on May 12, 2009.
