VIZ Media has announced the debut of Naoki Urasawa's animated series Monster on Syfy beginning on October 12th as part of the latest season of the network’s "Ani-Monday" programming block. Monster is based on the critically acclaimed manga series by Urasawa that is published in North America by VIZ Media.
New York Comic Con (NYCC) organizers have announced that they will hold a special "One Year Out" Bowling Party on Thursday, October 8, 2009, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Bowlmor Lanes, 110 University Place, just South of Union Square in New York City.

Yesterday it was Hellsing, and today Organic Hobby sent us word that a new statue based on Uno Makoto's manga version of Top Cow character Witchblade will be released in July. The sexy badass stands 8" tall with two different versions of her blade and a custom base. She'll retail for $50.
Kouta Hirano's Hellsing is a unique bit of horror manga. The story takes place in the same world as Bram Stoker's Dracula but throws in bits of H.P. Lovecraft and lots of other nasty things that make it a fast-paced, gun-blazing bloodbath.
