I don’t care what sweet candy you get in your trick or treat bag this Halloween; this just posted trailer for Sand Sharks is the tastiest treat you’ll snack on all day. It’s the Piranha 3D meets Blood Beach movie you’ve been waiting for.
This weekend’s Jabberwock gives the Syfy creature feature treatment to the insect-headed dragon of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. Syfy has posted two clips from the medieval monster movie from I Spit on Your Grave remake director Steven R. Monroe.
I’ve been on a lot of crazy sets, but never have I seen anything quite like the set I step into on Mentryville (formerly Spores), a low-budget indie virus-run-amok flick lensing just outside of Los Angeles. The cast and crew seem every bit as shocked as I am and for good reason: They’re shooting in a working government laboratory. Millions - possibly billions - of dollars worth of scientific equipment stretch on through miles of twisty hallways and corridors throughout this massive complex and it’s here that all the chaos goes down.
If you tune in to the Syfy channel on September 10, 9pm ET/8pm Central, you'll find yourself fending off a vicious beast known as the Jabberwock. Since no monster film can slide by without us taking a peep at the creature, we did some digging and have come up with the very first stills of said creature!
With all the hoopla surrounding the NBA lately, we know that there are plenty of angry fans that would love to see Lebron James get his on the court. For those angst filled few we've nailed down a few new stills from Detention to live vicariously through.
Never let it be said that we don't work fast for you. Just hours after the initial announcement of American World Pictures' latest acquisition, Spores, we have the early art and full synopsis for you. Why? Because you're the cool kids!
Spores. It's just not a very pleasant word, is it? Nothing about it is warm or inviting. In fact, the word more or less implies that you should go nowhere near these things. The only trouble? Various kinds are everywhere. There is no safe haven. Especially if a specific strain turns deadly!
In school and throughout my teenage years, I was an absolute and total lunatic. Not kidding either. I super-glued my Spanish teacher to her chair, punched my principal in the face, threw a computer through a closed glass window, etc. You name it. I did it. Though if detention would have been as bad as it is in the movie of the same name, I may have thought twice!
Yep. It's exactly what you think it is. To quote a much beloved character from a certain Dead series ... "You stick your head in the sun, and they gonna come up behind you and bite off your ass!" Dig on some early sales art below.

American World Pictures, an LA-based independent motion picture distribution and production company, is gearing up for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival with updated info on three of its genre acquisitions in this year's line-up: Jack the Reaper, Boggy Creek, and Spirit Hunters promise to be big sellers for the company at the fest.
More spooky goodness coming in from Cannes. We just dug our claws into the very first bit of artwork and plot crunch for J.P. Pierce's Spirit Hunters (formerly End of the Road).
Brooke Hogan is undoubtedly the most famous sports entertainment progeny in the world. The daughter of the immortal Hulk Hogan, Brooke has spent the last few years in front of the camera on two different reality shows and has made a name for herself as a singer as well. Now Hogan is taking on the acting world in her upcoming feature film debut, Sand Sharks.
From the director of Firestarter, Class of 1999, Showdown in Little Tokyo, and Commando comes Groupie, a psycho thriller about a psychopathic rock groupie terrorizing a popular rock band on their comeback tour.
