StudioADI Providing Extraterrestrial FX to Sci-Fi Film Wellwood

News has come down that a new indie sci-fi film by the name of Wellwood is currently in production in New Orleans and that our pals Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis over at studioADI will be providing the practical FX as well as acting as executive producers. “Game of Thrones” star Keisha Castle-Hughes will be producing and starring in the film, which, per Deadline, follows a terminally ill wife and her husband who will do anything to cure her, including utilizing a strange alien discovery he’s made. The film will also star Lance E. Nichols, Camille Balsamo and Reid Collums.
Little else is known about the film but this sounds like it could either be a heartwarming tale of how far someone will go for true love OR we’re gonna get something Frankenstein-esque and absolutely horrific. That being said, if we’re really lucky, we could end up with something that gives us both.
