Coming down the pike from A24, the studio that brought us The Witch, Hereditary, and Midsommar (among many others) and DirecTV is Low Tide. What starts as a treasure hunt becomes a metaphor for the real-life horrors associated with coming of age. Give the gripping trailer a spin at the top of the article!
Synopsis:
Alan, Red, and Smitty spend high summer on the Jersey Shore roving the boardwalk and getting into trouble. But the discovery of good old fashioned treasure sets the friends on an escalating course of suspicion and violence in this atmospheric thriller.
Low Tide is written and directed by Kevin McMullin; the film stars Jaeden Martell, Keean Johnson, and Shea Whigham. We don’t have an exact release date at the time of publishing, but we’ll keep you posted.
