Read Some Classics For Free!

If there’s one effect we can have on the entire horror genre through our efforts on this site, I would like it to be to make horror fans read more books. Some of the best horror tales are in between hard or soft covers rather than thrown on a shooting script and fed to some actors, and we really like encourage you guys to read as much and as often as possible. God knows we do!

A good place to start is always the classics, and to celebrate Halloween this year Google has made it that much easier for all of us Internet addicts. They’ve gone ahead and digitized a large selection of classic books and stories from Washington Irving’s Sleepy Hollow to Oscar Wilde’s The Canterville Ghost so you can get your reading done online like usual! They’ve also made most of these horror tales available to download for free, just in case you want to take them with you.

Click here to view the full list of creeping tales of terror, and be sure to pass it on to someone who doesn’t read as much as they should. It’s good for your brain!
