Last House Remade Soon…
Ah, this one should be fun to keep an eye one; Wes Craven talked to the Fangoria fiends the other day via Fangoria Radio, and revealed that work on the remake of his Last House on the Left is going along swimmingly.
Hardcore director Dennis Illiadis is helming the redux, a choice I have to say came out of seemingly nowhere. Here’s hoping it’s not just a retread of Craven’s original and actually brings something unique and fresh to the story.
Shooting on the new Last House on the Left will start up in January in South Africa, where the locales are great and our dollar still has some pull. Meanwhile, Craven’s still talking about helming an episode of “Fear Itself” if and when the project happens, as well as a film he’s been throwing around for a while now that will the first thing he’s both written and directed since New Nightmare. Keep it here for updates on all these projects as they come down!
Wonder what’s in the last house on the right in the Dread Central forums!
