DVD Releases: I Know Who Walks the Skin
A small but eclectic list of DVD releases for your post-Turkey pleasure this Tuesday, November 27th…
Day X (2007)
Directed by Jason Hack
The future. A mysterious outbreak has occurred which causes the populace of this planet earth to transform from normal, peace-loving citizens into flesh-craved monstrosities. Kinda like when Oprah come son. Eleven strangers find themselves trapped in a steel mill, fighting off the beasts. One man is accompanied by a mute white-haired girl who may hold the answers they all seek! Buy it here!
I Know Who Killed Me (2007)
Directed by Chris Sivertson
The movie that many agreed was one of the strangest released last year, if not in the last five years, finally comes to DVD so the rest of us can see just how weird it really is. Lindsay Lohan stars as a girl who is kidnapped and mutilated, only to make it out alive and come back saying she’s her twin sister and the other half is still in captivity. And then it gets really odd. Check out our I Know Who Killed Me DVD review for more! Buy it here!
In the Winter Dark (1998)
Directed by James Bogle
A strange but atmospheric-sounding thriller about four neighbors who are all carrying emotional scars trying to live their normal lives in an isolated valley. They live in fear, however, because of a creature they believe lurks in the shadows of their farmland. A shocking incident causes them all to do things they did not know they could in places they should not be. Buy it here!
Skinwalkers (2007)
Directed by Jim Isaac
From the director of the dumb but fun Jason X comes this ridiculously serious film about werewolves fighting to stay werewolves. Because of the birth of a human/werewolf hybrid, a kid who is said can bring the lycantrhropic curse to an end, a group that likes to hunt and kill and a group the fears the beast inside go to war, and its just flat-out stupid. This Hollow Sacrament (2006)
Directed by Greg William Stechman
The first release from Unearthed in quite a while, this also marks their first original release since they struck their deal with TLA Video, which means their titles are going to be a lot easier to find now. This Hollow Sacrament follows a former soldier, tortured by his past, now a cop investigating the disappearance of four young women in Northern California during the 1990’s. Based on a true story, too! Buy it here!
Whisper (2007)
Directed by Stewart Hendler
Gotta admit, I’m honestly surprised this was dumped direct to DVD without even an attempt at a theatrical release. Of course, the star presence of “Lost” hunk Josh Holloway isn’t what it used to be, but still. The story is about four criminals who take an 8-year-old hostage for the ransom money, unaware that they have nabbed one of the most evil children imaginable! Buy it here!
