Sometimes, you’re just in the mood for blood, guts, and dry humor. And what better way to satisfy that craving than with a Quentin Tarantino marathon, courtesy of Netflix! Three of his films, both new and old, are now available on the streamer. If you’ve been meaning to catch up on this auteur’s filmography, now is your chance.

First up, Netflix has both Kill Bill films in its library and these are my personal favorites of Tarantino’s oeuvre. Here, Uma Thurman plays a character simply called The Bride who is on a quest for revenge against the titular Bill, who left her for dead on their wedding day. She fights her way through the group of assassins who betrayed her with a samurai sword. Oh, and she just woke up from a four-year coma. It’s the Quentin Tarantino spin on the classic revenge film a la Lady Snowblood.

In the second film, The Bride faces off with Bill to enact her final act of vengeance. The two films make for a perfect night of female rage and Uma Thurman kicking ass with a sword. Plus, the rest of the ensemble cast in both films is stellar, featuring frequent Tarantino collaborators like Michael Madsen and Thurman, as well as Lucy Liu, David Carradine, and Daryl Hannah.

Then, also available on Netflix is Tarantino’s frosty 2015 western whodunnit The Hateful Eight. The streamer has both the theatrical film as well as the extended edition, which is broken into four episodes. This film also boasts an incredible ensemble, featuring Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Zoe Bell, and Channing Tatum. Taking place almost entirely inside a tiny cabin, it’s an incredible example of Tarantino’s ability to build tension and craft fascinating but repulsive characters.

While Tarantino is a controversial figure, to say the least, there is no denying his love for cinema and his effects on the entire industry. His films are both unique and visually dazzling while also paying homage to the films that came before them. So if you need a little bit of cinema celebration in your life right now, Netflix is ready to help!
