‘Monolith’ Exclusive Clip: Something’s Wrong With Grandpa

You may know Lily Sullivan from Evil Dead Rise, but you don’t want to miss her in the new lo-fi Australian horror film Monolith. Directed by Matt Vesely, this new sci-fi horror feels like a more dreadful episode of The X Files told almost entirely through audio interviews. It’s an impressive feat for horror storytelling, which is why we’re so excited to have an exclusive clip from the film.

Read the full synopsis:

While trying to salvage her career, a disgraced journalist begins investigating a strange conspiracy theory. But as the trail leads uncomfortably close to home, she is left to grapple with the lies at the heart of her own story

In her review of Monolith from SXSW 2023, Dread Central’s Mary Beth McAndrews wrote,

Monolith is an impressive indie horror feat with a killer reveal to reward patient viewers. Thanks to gorgeous cinematography, a fascinating script, and a stellar performance from Sullivan, Monolith shines as a unique new piece of horror that reflects the terrors of podcasting and what can lurk within the audio medium. Vesely delivers a gorgeous piece of lo-fi sci-fi that’ll creep in through your ears and nestle itself in the folds of your brain.

Vesely directed Monolith with a script by Lucy Campbell.

Monolith is out now in theaters and on digital from Well Go USA.
