Described as ‘a game for your ears,’ Papa Sangre was released in 2010, a unique iPhone app that was essentially a video game without video.
Players traveled through the afterlife on a mission to escape the palace of Papa Sangre, guided only by audio and controlling their deceased character via the use of buttons displayed on the screen.
Papa Sangre received the award for Most Innovative Game at the 2011 Mobile Gaming Awards, so it was only natural that a sequel would follow. And it’s on its way.

A survival horror game told entirely through sound, Papa Sangre II starts at your inevitable end. You are dead, and must hunt for memories from the deceased to get back to the other side. Trapped in the peculiar afterlife of Papa Sangre, your guide is the voice of Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones). Death for you is just the beginning.
