‘Monolith’ Trailer: Something’s Lurking In The Air Waves

Last year we saw Lily Sullivan take on the mother of all evil in Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise. Now, she’s tackling more cosmic horrors in Matt Vesley’s audio-focused horror Monolith, coming soon from Well Go USA.
In the film:
While trying to salvage her career, a disgraced journalist begins investigating a strange conspiracy theory. But as the trail leads uncomfortably close to home, she is left to grapple with the lies at the heart of her own story.

Sullivan is the sole star of the film, with some voices appearing through recordings and phone calls along the way. Vesley directed the film from a script by Lucy Campbell.
Dread Central’s Mary Beth McAndrews caught Monolith at its premiere at the 2023 SXSW. In her review, she wrote,
“With Monolith, director Matt Vesely delivers a gorgeous piece of lo-fi sci-fi that’ll creep in through your ears and nestle itself in the folds of your brain.”
Monolith comes to theaters and digital on February 16, 2024.
