The docuseries that rocked the internet last year is still causing shockwaves with its second season. The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace is the #1 series on Max (formerly HBO Max). It originally aired on Discovery+ before appearing on Max, which has people understandably upset. This is an especially harrowing tale of abuse and neglect that continues to leave viewers stunned. If you’re unfamiliar with the case, allow me to enlighten you.

First, check out the synopsis:

“Initially assumed to be a 6-year-old Ukrainian orphan with a rare bone growth disorder, Natalia was adopted by Kristine and Michael Barnett in 2010. However, the happy family dynamic soured when allegations against Natalia were brought by the Barnetts, who alleged Natalia was an adult masquerading as a child with intent to harm their family. In 2013, Natalia was discovered living on her own, which ignited an investigation that led to Michael and Kristine’s arrest and a firestorm of questions.”

The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace is directed by Christian Conway. The second season was retitled The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks.

Many viewers are outraged that so many people failed Natalia and are still questioning her age. However, most are enraged by the adopted parents pretending to be the victims of this story.

See what Twitter is saying:

I am happy this season allows Natalia to finally tell her story. Too often, the media centers on the perpetrators instead of the survivors. No wonder so many people are reaching celebrity status for doing awful things.
