The Best Horror Movies Now Streaming On Crackle

Last Updated: April 3, 2024

Crackle is not easing up on its quest to build one of the most impressive and free horror collections in the streaming streets. While most streamers are not worried about scaring us this April, this app is pulling out all the stops to freak us out. This month’s lineup includes Nightmare at the End of the Hall, which is a 2008 TV movie starring Sara Rue and Krsy Fox. So, clearly, Crackle knows its audience, and I am the audience! They have also added so many other hard-to-find titles and some that flew under everyone’s radar, to build quite the eclectic lineup.

Check out which five movies I am obsessed with this month, and then read the full slate below.

The Dark Red

A woman claiming that her newborn was stolen by a secret society to harvest its blood lands in a psychiatric hospital. I am here for any thriller that results in a woman getting revenge on her ex. Because I support women’s rights and justifiable crimes all year long. I also am just a fan of a lot of the movies Dark Sky Films puts out and appreciate how many of the feature ladies kicking ass.

Nosferatu

The infamous vampire Vampire Count Orlok chooses his new home and takes an interest in a local woman. Every horror fiend knows the importance of this silent film regarding horror history. However, not nearly enough have actually seen this version for themselves. This movie is a classic, and I am happy Crackle had the foresight to make it free to stream for the masses. Now everyone can revisit it before Robert Egger’s remake drops this December.

Chopping Mall

Shopping mall employees decide to have a secret late-night party in one of the stores. However, the robot security system malfunctions and goes on a killing rampage. It is hard to go wrong with an 80s horror movie set in a mall. This one is also an immediate rewatch because it has living legends Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet and Not of This Earth) and Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator and Jakob’s Wife) in the cast. Believe me. You want this slice of nostalgia with a side of murderous robots on your screen right now.

Sector 7

A drilling crew discovers a deadly alien life form while looking for oil. I hate 3D movies, but I will be damned if I let that stop me from watching a Korean monster movie. Also, sometimes it is really nice to have a big silly sci-fi action movie as a palate cleanser. I look forward to eating snacks while enjoying the vibes. I believe this might be the most chaotically fun title to hit Crackle this month.

Stoker Hills

College students end up trapped in their worst nightmares while making a horror movie. This movie stars Tony Todd (Candyman), so it is my top priority this month. The cast also includes Danny Nucci (The Rock and Titanic) and the late John Beasley (The Purge: Anarchy and Sinister 2). How can this movie not be one of the titles we are most excited to see on the streamer this month?
