This Twisted Thriller Continues To Dominate The Netflix Charts

For four weeks in a row, this little Netflix horror gem has been living its best life in Netflix’s Top 10 charts. The Chalk Line (also known as Jaula) appeared out of nowhere in late October and planted itself in the charts. Its reign seems unstoppable and we love to see it. This week saw it slide to number nine in the Top 10 Non-English Films on Netflix. However, this psychological thriller still has Twitter talking, so it might find its way back up the charts with this long holiday weekend. After all, what better time to watch scary movies than we are stuck with the people we’re related to?

In the film, a couple finds a traumatized child of unknown origins, the two of them work together in an attempt to decipher the girl’s strange behaviors to unlock her identity and dark past.

The Chalk Line is directed by Ignacio Tatay, who also co-wrote it with Isabel Peña. The film stars Elena Anaya, Pablo Molinero, Eva Tennear, Eva Llorach, Carlos Santos, Esther Acebo, and Eloy Azorín.

The only thing we love more than international horror at Dread Central is seeing international horror get the attention it deserves. We don’t think The Chalk Line is leaving its comfy spot among the Netflix charts. However, if it does, what a spectacular four-week run.

Have you seen The Chalk Line on Netflix yet? Is it in your Netflix queue? Are you planning to watch it this weekend after feasting? Let me know because I’m nosey. Also, let me tell me your thoughts about the movie at @misssharai.
