Reddit’s Top 25 Horror Movies of 2021

There’s been a lot of chatter around the internet about what the best horror movies of the past year really were. 2021 was a year stacked unlike any year of recent memory. A main reason for that is the way that the COVID-19 pandemic decimated 2020’s release schedule, strong-arming studios into delaying their biggest releases a full year. When 2021 finally rolled around, we were left of with a bounty unlike anything I had ever experienced as a horror journalist.

Now that we here at Dread Central have made our own voices heard, we’ve peeked around the great world wide web to see what other people believe to be the best of the best for 2021.

One place known for excellent suggestions and information is always the front page of the internet. Reddit has finally assembled and published their users’ choices for the best of the year, and it’s an interesting and undeniable collection.

What do you think about the aforementioned line up? Honestly it seems fairly definitive, if you ask me. While I personally like to see a less strict definition of horror (I included Nightmare Alley in my personal roundup), it’s so great seeing all of these exciting titles in one place. But what say you? Are there any titles missing? Let me know on Twitter via @joshkorngut. I’m always around to chat all things prestige horror.
