So yeah, the theatrical sequel to Zombieland is deader than a recently double-tapped floater adrift in the Atlantic, but the long (and we’re talking long) talked about television series is still twitching. Read on for the latest.
Per our friends over at i09, casting calls just went out yesterday for the TV show’s main characters. According to said sheets the film’s main characters – Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock – are still buddied up, and two new characters are within our midst. As per the site:
Fred and Ainsley are two office workers at the start of the zombie apocalypse, obliviously complaining about problems with their iPhones and getting the wrong order at Starbucks, which they admit are “first world problems” with a hashtag — while people are being disembowled just outside the window they’re not facing. Tallahassee shows up to bring them their lunch orders, wearing a green polo shirt.
As you may recall Zombieland originally began life as a proposed TV show for CBS before it was turned into a theatrical release. Now it seems we’re coming full circle. Stay tuned.
