New A24 Movie Rated R for Disturbing Images, Graphic Nudity & More

The new A24 horror movie False Positive will hit Hulu on June 25, 2021. Ilana Glazer stars with Justin Theroux, Sophia Bush, Josh Hamilton, and Pierce Brosnan.

And today we have word the MPAA has slapped the A24 flick with a hard R-rating for “disturbing/bloody images, sexual content, graphic nudity, and language.”
John Lee directs the A24 film from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Ilana Glazer.
Glazer stars as Lucy Martin with Justin Theroux as Adrian Martin. Pierce Brosnan joins them as as Dr. John Hindle with Zainab Jah as Grace Singleton. Gretchen Mol rounds out the killer cast with Sophia Bush, Josh Hamilton, and also Kelly AuCoin.

It begins after months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Glazer and Theroux finally find their dream fertility doctor in Brosnan. But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Glazer notices something sinister through Brosnan’s gleaming charm. So she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him and her own “birth story”. As if getting pregnant weren’t complicated enough…
False Positive is a contemporary take on Rosemary’s Baby. If that wasn’t kind of obvious that this point in the article. But all the same, even though I’m literally just hearing about this flick right now, I’m adding it to my must-see list after I hit ‘publish.’
Glazer also produces the new fright flick along with Lee, Jonathan Wang, and Allison Rose Carter. A24 will release the new pregnancy horror movie on Hulu on June 25.
