Elizabeth Olsen Teases DOCTOR STRANGE 2 Sports Signature Sam Raimi Style

Sinister director Scott Derrickson left Doctor Strange 2 aka Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness last year. Sam Raimi then took over. And today, star Elizabeth Olsen teases the sequel sports some good old fashion Sam Raimi style.

Olsen tells Collider: “[Sam Raimi is] an incredible person to work with. He’s just such a unique human and I just think it’s fun getting to work with someone with such specific goals. And I love his use of camera and it’s definitely a use of camera that I’m not used to at all. So I guess that might answer your question!

I think it does… We’ll see!

The last we heard on Raimi’s sequel, Xochitl Gomez (The Baby-Sitters Club) joined Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Olsen, and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the film.

The film’s set to start shooting in May once Cumberbatch finishes playing Strange in Spider-Man 3. Scott Derickson (Sinister) remains as an executive producer.

The original film told the tale of Dr. Stephen Strange’s whose life changes after a car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he looks for healing, and hope, in a mysterious enclave. There he quickly learns it’s at the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying reality. Before long, Strange must choose between his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.

Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness was originally going to hit on May 7th, 2021. But will now (hopefully) land in theaters on March 25th, 2022.
