Devon Sawa (Hunter Hunter) just revealed he’d love to see a “non-’90s” reboot of Rodman Flender’s cult classic horror-comedy Idle Hands with Seth Green.

Sawa tells ComicBook.com: “I know it’ll never happen, but to reboot Idle Hands and have a new, young Anton and see what somebody does with the hand stuff. There’s such young, fresh talent nowadays, I would love to see what a non-’90s version.”

Me too. Someone get on this ASAP!

Sawa said he’d like to return for another entry last year. He said: “In a heartbeat. If there was one film that I want to do a sequel to that would be the one. Just because that set was, between Elden, and Seth Green, and Vivica Fox, Alba … and all those people, it was like summer camp and it was so much fun.”

Idle Hands begins when slacker teen Anton Tobias has his right hand possessed by a demonic force. While Anton himself is an amiable guy, his hand proves to be an appendage of death, killing his two best buddies, Pnub and Mick, who return to life as wisecracking zombies. In addition to murdering those closest to him, Anton’s evil hand significantly hinders his chances with a lovely neighbor Molly.

Elden Henson (The Mighty Ducks) co-starred with Jessica Alba and Vivica A. Fox.

Rated R for horror violence and gore, pervasive teen drug use, language, and sexuality it sports a 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: An uneasy mix of slapstick and gore, Idle Hands lacks the manic energy and comedic inspiration required to pull off its goofy premise.
