Though the details are few and far between right now, it seems Universal is still interested to see what this wacky “horror genre” can do for them down the road.
The Hollywood Reporter got word today that Universal has nabbed a pitch from writer/producer Scott Nimefro, whose previous works in our genre include a good amount of “Tales From the Crypt” episodes. The script is called Agony and is set in the world of urban legends on college campuses, one of which proves to be true.
Sounds all right, despite the vagueness and echoes of the first Urban Legend I hear the second I read that. Uni’s Struber/Parent shingle will be producing, and Nimefro is in the process of writing the script as you read this. You’ll know more when we do!
