CHUCKY Will Drop F-Bombs in Upcoming TV Series, In Case You Were Worried

The Child’s Play TV series Chucky hits Syfy and USA in 2021. And today, it’s been confirmed that the killer doll will drop F-bombs. Every episode.

Franchise creator and Chucky showrunner, Don Mancini passed along this update during a recent Comic-Con@Home’s Sary Good TV with Horror’s Top Showrunners panel with executive producer Nick Antosca.

Mancini explained: “When Nick and I set up Chucky at Syfy, one of the first things we had to make sure of [was] that Chucky could drop his F-bombs, because it’s such an intrinsic part of his character, it would just seem wrong if he couldn’t… Fortunately, before we signed on the dotted line, they confirmed, yes, he can. I think he can drop, like, eight F-bombs per episode, or something like that — eight to ten, something like that — and I think there are variations depending on what time it airs.”

The new series begins when an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos when a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale.

Brad Dourif will return as the voice of Chucky while other fan favorites like Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, and Christine Elise are rumored to return.
